Our colleague, a staff member of the Türkiye team, passed away when his apartment collapsed as a result of the catastrophic earthquake in Türkiye.
Our dedicated colleague was a much-appreciated member of his team. He worked hard in his community ensuring that people in need got support. He will be greatly missed. Our thoughts are with his family and friends.
The earthquake and its aftershocks have caused devastation to thousands of people. Our thoughts go out to the people across the region impacted by earthquake and also to our staff in the Türkiye offices, who are all tremendously affected by the situation.
DRC will honour our colleague’s memory by continuing the support to the victims of this disaster.
All other DRC staff members in Türkiye and Syria are accounted for.
