Programme Innovation and Business in the Middle East region
The DRC innovation focus in the Middle East region targets both host-communities, refugees and others displaced persons and we work across Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Türkiye and Yemen. DRC works with Innovative Financing as well as thematic areas such as digitalization and digital employment, green business partnerships, agri-tech and climate adaptation in the region.
A first-of-its kind RIF is an NGO-impact investor collaboration that will provide investments and technical assistance to local companies in displacement contexts to increase employment and employability, support better access to goods and services and enhance financial inclusion. The RIF pilot focuses on Uganda and Jordan and is funded by ECHO, the Novo Nordisk-, Hilton-, IKEA Foundations, Danida and investors.
Programme innovation and climate Action in DRC accelerate new ways of working, better impact and sustainable paths for the people we work for, and aim to make a strategic contribution to the humanitarian eco-system that DRC is part of. Working with wicked problems, new trends, and new approaches - DRC programme innovation support pilot, transition and scale of new solutions using technological advances, new insights and new partnerships.
